2010 Diocesan Cycle of Prayer (PDF)
Please remember in your prayers the sons and daughters of our Diocese who are serving in the military.
Intercessory Prayers for our Missionaries Serving Overseas
Missionaries who are affiliated with our Diocese need and rely on our prayer support. The Global Mission Commission of the Diocese asks all parishes and congregations to remember the following people during intercessory prayers at Sunday worship. Rotating names by month is one way to do this.
The Culver family continues to serve in China. They are helping very poor ethnic minority individuals attend lay training/bible schools in the rural southwest.
Peter Prewandowski, formerly a missionary in Tanzania, is now an important part of the Diocesan Global Mission Team.
Jane Torrey and her family continue their lifetime mission work in South Korea.
Sonja Hoekstra-Foss is serving her Lord in Israel.
Randy Giles continues his work in South India.
The Trinity Prayer
By The Rev. Keith Mason
Holy, Heavenly Father,
Creator of all that exists,
Fill our hearts with divine love,
And human joy.
God Almighty, grant us grace and mercy in our daily lives.
Give us Christian courage,
With your inner peace.
Lord Jesus Christ,
We know you as Saviour and Lord.
Make yourself known ever more clearly,
To our dim and faltering eyes.
Through the heavenly power of your love,
Dear Jesus, make your Real Presence
A living reality in your Church.
Blessed Holy Spirit,
Inspire and guide us as Christians.
Spirit of God Almighty,
Fill our empty spaces with your peace.
Grant that we might become the saints
That you lovingly call us to be,
So that you, O God,
Might speak to others through us.
Amen.
Diocesan Staff Prayer
Most loving God,Give us the strength, wisdom, and guidance for the challenges and tasks before us this day.
So enfold us in your love,
So clothe us in your light and joy,
So assure us of your strength,
That your love, light, joy, and healing may shine through all we do and say this day.
Grant that as a staff we may grow closer to you and show caring and concern for one another. Remind us of your constant presence among us that we may be a blessing to the people we serve in this diocese.
